For those of you all that know me, you know humor is the first thing I am going to tell you is what keeps me positive. Yes, it is a part of it. However, it's more so the people that have recovered from a tragic incident still living their dreams.
My husband served in the military for 9 years (hunny I hope I said this correctly). He was deployed over to Iraq and many other countries. He often reminds me when a man goes to war he looses a part of himself. Yet, my husband over the years has managed to work towards gaining happiness despite his odds.
It amazes me how he can still smile when things are really not in his favor or mine. He inspires me to stay positive and focus when battling inner and outer issues we may all face on a daily basis such as car problems, dealing with coworkers, or dealing with a sick love one. To him, we all have problems and must choose how to face the problems with the skills and tools we possess.
Overall, it is the strength, wisdom and courage I am surrounded by to remind me of how to stay positive on a daily basis. I know I have the ability to choose whether I will allow AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) to bring down my spirits of choose to be HAPPY. I choose to be HAPPY! And as Pharell has said in his song I choose to be happy and will continue to stay positive.
